The cage of life - Light's Daily Dose
I could watch mixed martial arts competitions all day and night, and read about various strategies—but that won’t translate if I happen to find myself in the cage with one of those guys. The only thing that will help me in the cage is practice. Lots of practice.
The same goes for the “cage” of life. We can post spiritual quotes and read self-help books all day and night, but until we start intentionally practicing the principles we’re learning about, we’ll be getting our butts kicked all over the place.
Don’t get me wrong: exposure is an important first step. But it doesn’t mean much without that crucial next step, which is practice. So in addition to reading and sharing these posts, make sure you’re also putting them into practice.
P.S. Thanks to those of you who’ve shown me support by pre-ordering Knowing Where to Look. It means the world and I truly can’t wait for you to see it!
